The Charlie ain’t the only place with GOLDEN TICKETS! EBAY CRASHES THE PARTY

Big Brother ‘golden ticket’ auction axed

The internet auction site eBay has withdrawn the sale of the Big Brother “golden ticket”, insisting the seller has breached the terms of its user agreement.

The alleged finder of a golden ticket inside a Kit Kat chocolate bar claimed to have “no interest” in appearing on the show and put his ticket up for sale on eBay, attracting a number of offers, some of which exceeded £5m.

I love to watch Big Brother in the US but I have heard that BB UK is a lot more entertaining. Does anyone know is there is a way to watch the UK Live Stream from the USA since, according to Channel 4, “The Big Brother Live Stream is only available in the UK and the Republic of Ireland”??

You didn’t play my audio comment, AdamC, but it’s OK. Apparently a chav banging on an empty can is more important than Britney – your SL-bitch …

You Curry sausage: maybe once in a while you could actually pay cash to Geoff Smith instead of treating him like a whore “another BJ here, another theme song here, etc… oh, I just farted, Geoff Smith come here!… and do a theme song for my fart! for free of course!” ?

Oh, not again Patricia’s claim to fame: “I fucked David Bowie once”. Last year there was the same talk on DSC. Fuck. Patricia should get over it at last. She was just one-night-stand for David Bowie and Patricia elaborates so much on him as if Patricia would live with him for 3 years.

Burping. Is. Not. Funny. Sense of humor is about intelligence not about burping. I know AdamC that you are just a DJ who thanks to combination of “having US citizenship + living in Netherlands with that citizenship” got lucky and got career going, but don’t give up on your intellect yet, mate! Think, don’t just burp!

Regarding belittling comments about Eurovision like “when Patricia was singing it was cool but now it is shit” – you don’t understand that it is just a way for non-EU countries to show themselves to whole Europe and just a popular NONPRETENTIOUS song contest. Patricia is much too much pretentious. Repeat after me: Eurovision is NONPRETENTIOUS and thus cool.

regarding Paul McCartney: his current wife that he is divorcing is just a GOLDDIGGER who married him for money! If it would be otherwise she would give up on Paul’s money but she will obviously not do it. So we have a proof here. There was no prenap and it was clear for everybody but not for Paul McCartney. D’oh! Everybody knew it for months if not years…

anyway, have a nice weekend AdamC ! maybe you could invite me to podshow palace in SL at last?

CSB a Kanye West fan? What an incredible remix that would make!

“Now I aint sayin she a gold digger
But she aint messin wit no broke broke”

  9.
    May 19, 2006 | 6:58 pm

Jersey Todd : no Jersey, “golddigger” is a British (dunno? maybe Americanish too?) term denoting a women who marries for money in reality. Paul’s wife said that it hurts her when tabloid press in UK calls here “golddigger” albeit she wants to keep the money of Paul: something like 200 million USD at least.

  10.

I was aware of the term – I was just imagining the CSB/Kanye West remix…not sure if your’e familiar with the song…

lol…I’m sure its not your type of thing…its a popular hip/hop song…verrry top-40. I’ve been listening to this kind of music my whole life, and its even too sugary for me…The juxposition of CSB/Kanye West would be a lot of fun…

Jeff: the only answer/solution to you question is: to ask somebody in UK to put in their home Slingbox or other device/computer that makes streaming of TV possible and to give you access to it. I reckon that would cost not much to organize such thing – you only need to know somebody willing to do it – maybe your family etc. Setup would be easy:

    — free tv receiver with channel 4 (can go from air, no need for satellite/sky or cable)
    — internet streaming device like slingbox (300 bucks in USA or so)
    — Internet access

… and you could even change channels if you would get bored…

so here is the answer! as thank you visit my comic blog by clicking link on my name. Hah!

I think I must me missing something, but can someone here please explain the purpose of all this Second Life stuff?. I can see that people who are lonely or isolated from others in real life might get something from this, and by the way that is not meant in anyway to be a put down, but what is the point otherwise?. I have a very full real life and can’t find enough time to do all things I want to do without sitting for hours in front of my computer getting involved in a imaginary life. Maybe I’m looking too deep into this and its just another game craze that will be forgotten in 6 months time . . .

The means 180 degree or the International date line is on the other side of the earth. Soooo on the other side its tommorrow not yesterday. What that means is they know what we have done cause they are one day ahead of us. Looks like someone knows our future after all.

Mr. strip blogger, you are wrong again! The European Broadcasting Organisation has nothing to do with the European Union. This ’song contest’ has become a joke over the years, quality is not important any more, that’s why so many Eastern ‘European’countries entered the final supporting each otherthe communist way. Very few people in the old coutries watch this shite apart from the elderly and the homosexuals. Have you watched it? ;)

    Dear Real European,

The Warsaw Pact was indeed one of the free world’s worst nightmares for almost 50 years. It was formed after Stalin got what he wanted from the pillars of freedom and democracy–FD Roosevelt and W Churchil in Yalta in 1945. Funnily enough, Stalin got a lot more from the Allies that what he was supposed to get from his earlier buddy–Hitler on the basis of the secret agreement signed by Ribbenropp and Molotov (aka. the Hitler-Stalin pact) in 1938.

The Warsaw Pact was an entity formed by the governments that were servant to the USSR, who controled them thanks to the Western leaders’ quiet approval. It certainly was not formed by governments elected in free elections (of which there were none for almost 50 years in Eastern Europe).

Don’t be so quick to put all the blame on the Eastern Europe, it’s hard to do anything when someone is holding a gun to your head. The Eastern Europe was given to the USSR as the spoils of war and then given a media face of a deadly enemy of the West. At the same, the NATO pact was being portrayed as the Eastern Europe’s worst enemy by the media in the Eastern Europe.

This is the kind of shit hundreds of millions of people are being thrown into when the big boys of the world are able to decide the fate of whole nations.

The Eastern Europe was given to the USSR as the spoils of war and then given a media face of a deadly enemy of the West.

yes, the West betrayed Eastern Europe. Besides: please note that BIG economic help from USA to Europe called “Marschall Plan” was given ONLY to West Europe, not to Eastern Europe, so Eastern Europe lost 2 times: 1) occupied by soviets (although some countries like Poland were and are 99% Catholic), 2) didn’t get big economic help through Marshal Plan.

Regarding Eurovision becoming dominated by Eastern Europe: bullshit! Greece won last time and it is not Eeastern Europe and also for Finland most western europe voted. Actually the reason of victory of Finland was because teenagers in UK were watching eurovision for the first time this year thanks to musicians from Finland and they were asking whole family to vote for Finland – I have it on phone-in in radio in UK.

pip: my country of origin does not matter. in fact, i think it would just confuse things even more if you knew it. You and the Real European are making the same mistake of quickly mixing two things and sticking a bad name on the usual suspect in the process.

If you read carefully what you wrote you will see that the message you are conveying is: nobody cares for the EuroVision contest, because of the ‘friendly’ voting by the EE countries. And so the EE countries are blamed for the demise of the EuroVision contest, just because they are an easy target. You also hurt the feelings of the EE citizens by saying that nobody in the civilized world cares about the Eurovision contest. Are EE countries not civilized? Are they not Europeans? What make a ‘real European’ real? Who’s civilized and who’s not? If there was some ‘friendly’ voting going on between the UK, Germany, France, and Italy, would you still say that ‘nobody in the civilized world cared about this ‘contest”?

The truth about the EuroVision contest is quite different. It used to be one of the small number of venues to achieve relatively broad popularity in Europe. It was big, when TV itself was big and new. Today it’s a guy/gal, a computer, a mic, a bunch of loops, and some free software and you can get famous very, very quickly. Skype and broadband let us do for the cost of our monthly internet bill the things that required hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up multipoint international live connections and recording in the sixties or seventies.

The EuroVision contest is also irrelevant, because the music industry doesn’t care about it, because it just doesn’t fit into their business. It is still a way for some artists to get noticed and get some experience before a multinational audience. Some people think it is worth it.

pip: ‘ethnic’ voting… boy, it is so easy to spit on others on the net, isn’t it?

You write that “in many EE countries corruption is a way of life nowadays…” Do you think the WE countries are so above corruption? Then why did OECD had to step in and stop the practice of deducting bribes paid to foreign government officials as tax expenses? Read this, this, and this. Read those documents carefully and stop thinking that the WE countries are so civilized. Is bribing others and teaching them that it is the appropriate way to conduct business civilized?

CSB: Just a small correction. The Marshall Plan had been offered to the countries of Eastern Europe, but the Moscow told the governments of those countries to reject the offer. Some historians say that it was an offer that had been designed to be rejected, because the USA had feared the money would be used by the USSR to build its military. In any case, the Eastern Europe could not enjoy the benefits the plan brought to the countries of Western Europe.

Mr JA,you obviously didn’t bother to check the link otherwise you could have seen the source.. ask CSB and he will acknowledge the voting on the songcontest. With regard to tax deductions mentioned in these OECD documents which include bye the way the Czech Republic , Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic(!!!!!!) one must remark that without pulling the wallet it is virtually impossible to get anything done in countries like this. That’s why the Western companies need these benefits NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND, if you investigate further you might even see that certain countries don’t like to use words like ‘compensation’,'bribe’ that indicate in a certain direction…You couldn’t have met a better person because i personally have delt with situations like this first hand.
Have a nice day mr. jawn.

CSB. you dont know heather mills. Therefore do not name her a “gold-digger”.

the lass has had a hard enough time as it is being hounded by the media. You also do not know what financial agreement the couple have and that there is a child involved here.

You opinion is not your own, it is one fed to you by the media. Have you met her? Talked to her? Seen the fantastic work she does for charity? She has used her profile to a positive end.

Is it fair that a lass from Newcastle, just because she comes from a not so well off background, is hyped by the media as somekind of money whore just because she aspires to better herself?

Shes a bonnie lass and a canny lass, so gerroff her back man!

pip: a bribe is a bribe, no matter what you call it. If someone gives or receives bribes both sides of the deal fuel the corruption. And neither party is ‘civilized’. What if someone from EE bribed a government official or a civil servant in one of the WE countries. Would that make that country less civilized? What about double-agents who take money for betrying their own country? I guess you’d just call it an accident. But if someone does the same in the EE country then the whole country is non-civilized. Oh, boy…

I will agree with anyone who says that EE has to do a lot of work to bring their standards upto the high levels of WE democracies, but you need to put things into perspective here. They could not develop at the same pace WE countries could for the last 60 years. Yet they are closing that gap fast. Look how far they’ve come since 1989.

JA: in German parliament many representatives have 2nd and 3rd jobs and refuse to publish the money that they are receiving from these jobs. In other word: even in Germany bribery on big scale – like in a banana republic – takes place. To claim that countries from east EU have too much briber is not a lie but there is a lot of bribery also in the west – particularly in Germany and Italy and France. Anyway: east EU countries are developing rapidly with over 5-6 % a year while Germany/France/Italy have low growth of around 1% and people from east EU are working hard, don’t mind overtime and work of weekends = are not lazy. Besides: most east european countries are now in EU (Russia is too big to be in EU, but Ukraine will join it if Turkey will join it too) and we should forward to build better future and not look in past. You pip are Dutch and Dutch showed on May 1st 2006 that they are racialistic so you should better be more understandable to the situation. Advice: embrace EU citizens from east EU as close brothers and not as foreigners!

I LOVE BootyVoodoo and wanted to purchase it. Do I have to be registered to do so?

I did register using my son’s vidcasts (more for family use than public) and am waiting for confirmation.

Meanwhile, I am inpatient and just went to Lee Coulter’s website and ordered the CD. Of course, I hate waiting for delivery, I want it NOW. ;-)

I would LOVE to hear Lady Patricia on the DSC weekly. BTW Adan, she is tired because she also does all the housework and feeds you. :P

Jeff, heard you first time, but sorry, no idea how you can get live streaming in the US. To be honest, the majority of the live streaming is dull, and when anybody swears during the daytime, or something interesting is said, they cut the sound. There is a 15 minute delay. Sometimes the occasional “Fuck” gets through, but nothing else. This year the sound will probably be cut a lot thanks to Pete saying “Wankers” when his tourette’s kicks in.
Can you play the free clips at all?

CSB, you sound like a broken record. I am not responsable for actions taken by the Dutch/German Governments, nor do i held you responsible for Polands instable political climate.
I have never expierienced any major problems( i.e had to pay any lubrication money ) declaring goods entering or exiting Germany , the Netherlands or even Italy. How different things went in some other countries.. well you know that, you just admitted,i could write a book about this matter if i had to. To say that Germany is a banana republic is nonsense, you know that,i know that the only one who doesn’t is Helmuth Kohl. ;)

pip: the FACT is that German parliament members (“Abgeordnete”) are getting money from other sources than work for German government and they refuse to disclose amounts – it all equalls practically speaking bribery and even German biggest newspaper “Bild” admitted it.

Njet CSB , Members of parliament often have ’sidekicks’ which they are getting paid for and has nothing to do with bribery as long as it’s transparant who they are working for.You could set questionmarks on the hours spend on their regular job that’s for sure.

pip: Their hands are so clean, aren’t they? The WE governments have nothing to be ashamed of, don’t they?

You are making your assumptions about corruption in EE, becasue that’s where you found it. But it is not confined to EE. You can find in WE, USA, and elsewhere.

My own business experiences indicate that it is possible to do good business in EE without bribing people. Granted, bureaucracy and complex laws are a problem, but that’s what local accountants and lawyers are for. And above else, find a reliable local partner, and you will be OK.

Mr. ja it’s obvious on which side of the political spectrum y’re operating on; the left side. It’s also clear you get your monthly allowance from sitting behind a desk paid for by the Taxpayer and know nothing about operating in the field.
